That’s a fair argument. I’m just not a believer in civility and manners when I don’t think it’s earned. Someone should deserve that behaviour when they’ve something good like quality public policy or serves in the military. I don’t think the same can be said of people who lock children in cages. I understand the slippery slope argument of it’ll invoke the right-wing to do the same, but I criticise both sides when they fuck up on a principle I feel is right.
